Instagram integration

When binding an Instagram account with a chatbot, make sure to check the following three points:

1. Is your Instagram account a business account?

2. Is your Instagram account linked to a Facebook page?

3. Have you allowed third-party access to messaging features?

If all three points are completed, you can proceed directly to the final step of the Instagram linking tutorial.

Is your Instagram account a business account?

Here, we will use a personal Instagram account as an example.

1. Tap the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner of your personal account.

2. Go to “Account type and tools”

3. Select "Switch to Professional Account."

Tap “Continue” four times

Choose the type of account, which can be modified later.

Click "Confirm" to switch to a professional account.

Make sure to select "Business" as the account type.

You can choose to fill in contact information.

Next, we'll link your Instagram account with your Facebook Page.

Is your Instagram account linked to a Facebook page?

1. On the account information page, select "Edit Profile."

2. Under the "Public Business Information" section, find "Page."

3. Click "Continue."

4. Choose the Facebook Page you want to link to.

(If you haven’t created a Facebook Page yet, please create one first.)

Have you allowed third-party access to messaging features?

1. On the business account, tap the "three-line menu" in the upper right corner.

2. Scroll down to "How Others Can Interact with You" and choose "Messages and Story Replies."

3. Select "Message Controls."

4. Scroll to the bottom, and under "Connected Tools," enable "Allow Message Function."

Once these three steps are completed, you can link Instagram to MantaGO!

Linking Instagram to MantaGO

In the chatbot settings screen, click on "Settings" on the left side.

Choose “Connect” Instagram

Continue with your personal account, but remember that the account needs to have "Admin" permissions.

Select the Instagram account you want to link.

If no account appears here, it might be due to lack of permissions or because the account isn’t linked to a Facebook page. Make sure to follow the instructions above to set up the connections.

Choose the Facebook page you want to link with the Instagram account.

If you don't see any Facebook pages listed, you’ll need to create and link one first. For detailed instructions, please refer to the section above.

Click "Done" to complete the Instagram binding.
