# WhatsApp Integration

**Linking WhatsApp to MantaGO**

1. To link your chatbot to your WhatsApp account, you need to go to the chatbot’s “Setting”

2. Scroll down to WhatsApp and click “Connect”

3. Select “Embedded Signup” — the officially recommended setup method.

4. Log in to your Facebook account

5. Click "Get Started"

6. Choose or Create a Business Profile

* If you already created, choose an existed Business Profile

* If you are new, create a Business Profile

7. **Create or Select a WhatsApp Business Profile**
   * If you already have a WhatsApp Business profile, select it and go to next step. If not, you’ll need to create one.
   * Fill in the necessary information for the business profile, including your business name, category, and description

8. **Add and Verify Your Phone Number**

   * If you've added number to WhatsApp account, choose the registered WhatsApp number

   * If you just created WhatsApp account, add a new number to it
     * Add a phone number to your WhatsApp Business profile.
     * It is recommended to associate only one phone number with this profile to ensure seamless communication.
     * Once you've entered your number, enter the verification code on the next page and click **Next**.

> If you haven't register a number, you can use the official testing number instead "+1 555-981-3454". It can only be used once in each Business portfolio.

* Common Error : If you encountered this issue, it means that someone has already used this number to register a WhatsApp personal or business account. Please delete the account first in your main device.

> Note : Deleting your account will
>
> * Delete your account from WhatsApp and all your devices.
> * Erase your message history.
> * Delete you from all of your WhatsApp groups.
> * Delete your Google Account backup.
> * Remove you as a channel admin or follower, but not delete any updates you made or channel interactions like reactions or poll votes.
> * Delete any channels you created if there aren’t additional channel admins.

9. Click "Confirm"

10. **Complete the Integration**
    * Once the verification is complete, click on "**Finish"**.

> Note : Remember to add a WhatsApp payment method to your Business Portfolio via [business.facebook.com/latest/billing\_hub/payment\_methods/?](https://business.facebook.com/latest/billing_hub/payment_methods/). To enable the chatbot to reply messages.

* **Common Error : Operation Failed**

  If you see "The operation was unsuccessful. Please verify the data or get in touch with our support team for assistance." after clicking **Finish**, it usually means your WhatsApp phone number status has not been approved yet.

  * **If the status is "Pending"** — review is usually completed within 2 days. If it stays pending, we recommend deleting the number and binding it again, or binding a different phone number instead.
  * **If the status is "Offline"** — the number currently cannot connect to Meta's servers via the API. The most common cause is that the number is already in use on WhatsApp Business; you'll need to remove it there first before binding.
